The Venus Rising Institute for Shamanic Healing Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to healing and spiritual awakening. We offer a wide variety of workshops and spiritual retreat topics that will appeal to those just beginning on a spiritual/healing path or the advanced soul-seeker.

Venus Rising believes in two basic premises: "the Shaman is Within” and “the Healing is the Teaching.” No one can lead others beyond their own limitations. Our staff consists of heart-centered individuals who are Awakening to the Inner Shaman and who continue to walk the Spiral Path of healing in their own lives.

The Shamanic Breathwork™ Process is the main ritual tool used by the staff facilitators at Venus Rising events. The archetype of the "Wounded Healer" (also known as the Shaman) is a powerful symbol for our present culture. These are tumultuous times and many are seeking change, embracing healing and searching for spiritual awareness. We have found that inner healing can be greatly accelerated by holding in our consciousness the powerful image of the Shaman. The Shaman is one who has experienced symbolic death and rebirth initiations and, as a result, has birthed the Shaman’s Heart of compassion. Such persons become healers, teachers and guides for others during times of transition and turmoil.

We believe that we are all being called to embrace our own shamanic selves. It is our Shaman within who remembers how to shape shift our own realities, thereby making the necessary changes that allow us to heal the world by first addressing our own inner conflicts.
