Encrypted in the language of Western astrology is a description of the wounds we have suffered over the last 3,000 years. This language has served us well, because we are a wounded planet. The masculine and feminine forces are out of balance. This imbalance has harmed us all—regardless of gender.
The mythological symbolism of ancient Egypt is older than the Greek and Roman archetypes that are the basis not only of western astrology, but of western philosophical thought. Shamanic Egyptian Astrology is a language of wholeness based upon the neteru of ancient Egypt. Held within its archetypal symbols is a story of right action directed by and connected to love.
Join us as we enter sacred space and shamanic time to journey with the Egyptian neteru. We will use breath, music, ritual and group sharing to develop a personal relationship with these ancient archetypes that live within our own psyche.
Ruby is the Staff Astrologer, ApprenticeSHIP Supervisor and Business Manager for Venus Rising Institute for Shamanic Healing Arts. Her book, Shamanic Egyptian Astrology: A Language of Wholeness, co-authored with Linda Star Wolf, will be published by ITI / Bear & Co. in the spring of 2010. A professional astrologer since 1977 and student of astrology since 1973, Ruby Falconer holistically integrates her extensive knowledge of astrology, psychology, philosophy, mythology and metaphysics with a comprehensive understanding of shamanism and considerable talent as a story teller. Ruby is currently creating the Shamanic Egyptian Astrology Certification Program, to be included as a part of the degree program of Venus Rising University. Through this program, it will be possible for students of astrology to become certified as Shamanic Egyptian Astrologers. Classes in SEA will be available for both serious students of astrology as well as those interested in utilizing the astrological language in their every day life.
