Venus Rising Institute for Shamanic Healing Arts Presents:
Still Co-Dependent After All These Years:
Recovering From Addiction to Behaviors, People, Processes, Patterns, & Performing
A 5-Day Training Seminar
with Noted Author, Life Coach and Emotional Sobriety Lecturer
John Lee
Sunday, November 15th, 7:30 p.m.
to Friday, November 20th, 12:00 p.m.
While the media and the general public may think “Codependency” has been understood, done, or “old news,” the truth is it is still very misunderstood, hard to define and very hard on all kinds of relationships. Few treatment facilities provide help, and many smaller towns and even larger ones have few resources for the recovering codependent. Many are still suffering and many want help, insights, support, therapy and emotional sobriety.
During this powerful and highly experiential workshop we will:
- Explore unique definitions of Codependency
- Identify “Process” and “People” addictions, including relationship & love addictions.
- Shift from passive and often resentful Care-Taking to active loving and Caring For.
- Decrease tendencies to over depend on Positions, Processes and People, Places and Things.
- Describe and Clarify The Stages of Co-dependency Recovery.
- Identify signs of recovery from being a False Self.
- Learn Effective Ways To Self-Soothe.
This workshop is co-facilitated by Connie Burns, MA, LPC, Clinical Director of the P.E.E.R. Training Program and has worked with John Lee for 17 years, and by Venus Rising, and will include Shamanic Breathwork™, a powerful healing tool that uses the breath, chakra-attuned music, focused body work, art, and group sharing to integrate ancient shamanic wisdom with modern healing practices.
Workshop cost: $1450, includes meals and lodging. MAHEC CEUS and professional credit available.
NAADAC CEUS available for alcohol and drug addiction counselors.
